Surfing in a campfire

We’ve had some warm California style weather all week but smoke from the BC wildfires has made for some interesting conditions in Birch Bay. Very smoky skies and strange red sunsets at night. We’ve had 20mph winds almost every night this week out in the Strait pushing waves into the bay. So I’ve been surfing tiny glassy waves for three days in a row. I finally grabbed my phone to capture a couple of pics to show how glassy it has been. Tiny little waves but warm weather and no wetsuit required 🙂
