BIRCH BAY EVENTS
There's no shortage of things to do in Birch Bay but these are some of the most popular events throughout the year!
4th of July
There's no need to travel far to enjoy the fireworks as Birch Bay residents put on one of the best shows in the NW with their own local fireworks.
RING OF FIRE
On December 31st at 7pm each year the Birch Bay Chamber of Commerce sponsors a "Ring of Fire" event in Birch Bay. Thousands of people go to the shoreline and light a flare and the effect is that the entire bay ends up with a ring of red fire. It's quite beautiful and people also send off thousands of Chinese lanterns into the air.
POLAR BEAR PLUNGE
On January 1st is the Polar Bear plunge which takes place just across from the Birch Bay tourism office. This event is fun for all ages and it's just as exciting to watch as it is to jump into the freezing water!
SAND CASTLE CONTEST
In July each year there's a fun sandcastle building contest which attracts a lot of visitors and participants.
