Winter surfing isn’t for everyone and early in the morning is even worse. Freezing temps and strong winds make for a very short surf session. The winds had pushed every piece of seaweed in Puget Sound to the short and after catching a few waves in early morning moonlight I actually got stuck trying to get out of the damn water. There was about 6 feet of seaweed off the shore and it was about 3 feet deep and I couldn’t walk and my leash got tangled up in it. It was only on the far side of the point so I hand’t seen it when I got in the water. What a complete mess, literally took a couple of minutes to crawl through the stuff just to get out of the water. Wish I had that part on video, flailing in seaweed.
